Working Man's Barnstar
[edit]The Working Man's Barnstar | ||
I hereby award this barnstar for performing the humdrum task of adding the Astronomy WikiProject template to an exhausting number of pages, and for categorizing the importance of many others. Scapler (talk) 01:27, 13 October 2008 (UTC) |
Speedy deletion of Chris Tinney
[edit]A tag has been placed on Chris Tinney requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. SIS 22:55, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
My Userpage
[edit]Hi Mike S I came across your Wikisource contribution of Edward Forbes' Memoirs of the Geological Survey of Great Britain, Volume 1.djvu/381 etc. As a geologist this is a key reference to the Crag fauna and I'd like to have a pdf copy of the complete paper, pages 336 to 431. I can assemble this from your pages individually but there may be a better solution. Please help. I gather you are a Wiki editor. I submitted a piece on Sedimentary Isostasy back in March, which I edited in April after initial rejection and resubmitted. It has not yet emerged from the review mill and is getting submerged by more recent contributions. Could you please advise me on this as I'd like to refer to it at a forthcoming conference. reference for kaus
[edit]hi mike, in the german wikipedia there is a stub about Epsilon Sagittarii which was considered "not well sourced". i tried to read the english version, and verify the first reference introduced by you long time ago: Right ascension, 18h 24m 10.32s [1], which is Validation of the new Hipparcos reduction. could you help me to find the right ascension in this article and the other numbers cited out of it? --ThurnerRupert (talk) 15:57, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 19
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited HD 220689, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aquarius (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

KU Hydrae
[edit]Hi Mike s, I noticed that you started Draft:KU Hydrae. It appears that said star is more commonly referred to by its HR designation, so would you think about moving the article to HR 3724? StringTheory11 (t • c) 21:12, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- I will change the name when I move it to the article mainspace. Thanks for the heads–up.Mike s (talk) 21:42, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
